My first Bali project was an  Artist Residency and a commission to create a series of 161 paintings, one for each of the bedrooms of the newly Lisa Garris, "Plum Design West" renovated villas at the luxurious Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay Resort.

"Marcus came up with a concept that was bright, minimalist and contemporary, with at least one subtle reference in each painting to the classic imagery of the island. This series encapsulated something of the soul of Bali, yet it was fresh and completely different from any other style of artwork already present there"
