Mess Hall Collins st

The Mess Hall is located at the top end of Bourke Street, amongst Melbourne’s theatre, wine & food precinct. It has established a profile for providing signature dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner with a regional Northern Italian influence. The unique venue is flooded with natural light where bespoke and period furniture, Italian origins and industrial urban chic are seamlessly integrated by a mural by Marcus Walkley traversing the walls. In a subtle light play of tone and texture with deconstructed references to the original “Mess Halls” his minimalist mural illustration re-invents the classics and provides a feature wall cohesion in this contemporary cafe. Beginning with the Mess Hall’s Bourke Street exterior, his work continues throughout the interior leading the patrons to the upper floor function room.
