Mosaic

The owners of this ultra chic contemporary Sydney water front home had a dilemma; a small private courtyard adjoining their young daughters suite was edged by a tall, grim cement faced retaining wall. The dwelling was part carved into the sandstone cliff and part projecting over the sparkling water; my immediate suggestion was to turn the wall into a pearl, stone, and Bizazza tile  encrusted mosaic water feature. On finishing, I softened the surrounding retaining wall with paints and patinas to give their daughter a pretty courtyard  further enchanted and softened with the sound of water gently trickling down over the pearls. For this water feature I employed an array of cultured fresh water pearls, semi precious stones from various origins, coral and Bizazza white gold tiles. My second mosaic.
